Hitachi: Home of the Hitachi Company
Hitachi, Japan is a city in the Ibaraki Prefecture and is famous for the brand of the same name that manufactures appliances. The Hitachi brand was established in the city in 1910. The earliest settlers in Hitachi, JP date back to Japan’s Paleolithic area. It became a modern village in 1889 and became a town in 1924. The towns of Hitachi and Sukegawa were merged to become what we now know as Hitachi City.
