Isla Mujeres National Airport- ISJ
The Isla Mujeres National Airport is a public airport serving the island of Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is found in the municipality of Isla Mujeres, in the northern end of the island, and primarily operates as a general aviation airfield. However, the Mexican Armed Forces occasionally use the airport for passenger transport. Isla Mujeres National Airport goes by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) location identifier ISJ.
Best Time to Visit
The airfield features a single runway, an asphalt-paved airstrip with a length of a little over a thousand meters. While Isla Mujeres National Airport has a small terminal building and control tower, there are currently no available commercial flights from the airfield. In fact, the terminal and control tower is no longer in use. However, the airport is used in general aviation and military operations and some occasional chartered flights. If you happen to be in the area, the best places to visit within the state of Quintana Roo are Isla Blanca and Isla Contoy, both of which are found to the north of Isla Mujeres. You can also come by Puerto Juarez, which is on the mainland.

While you can no longer reach Isla Mujeres via commercial flights, you can still fly to the nearby city of Cancun through Cancun International Airport. Another airfield serving Quintana Roo is Playa Del Carmen Airport, which is on the mainland too.
