Jamnagar Airport – JGA Jamnagar, India
Jamnagar Airport, which officially goes by the name Civil Enclave Jamnagar (JGA) is a joint civilian and military airport located 4 miles from the city of Jamnagar, India. Although owned by the Indian Air Force, it also caters to both commercial and private flights. The airport is considered very important to the area because of its service to the city as well as to the members of the air force. Passenger traffic for scheduled flights alone reached 84,403 in 2016 while aircraft movements summed up to 760.
Best Time to Visit
JGA-Jamnagar Airport is housed in a single terminal that spans over 35 acres. With a capacity to process 150 passengers at a given time, it features a smallwaiting lounge adjacent to a cafeteria. The parking apron adjoining the terminal can handle two Airbus A320s simultaneously. A much-needed expansion of the terminal is in the works. Currently, there is one flight to and from Mumbai per day although there is a demand for more flights to more destinations for better connectivity of the city with the rest of the country. The city of Jamnagar which is famous for its brass craft is just 13 minutes away. The city of Moti Khavdi is also near the airport.
