Best Time to Visit
The Indonesian government controls the airport. KNO Airport has landside facilities as a joint venture with PT Angkasa Pura II. To make it even more accessible to the major cities close to the region, a 10.7 million-railway project was launched to connect the airport to Medan. It is the first airport in Indonesia to have a public accessible check-in area allowing a much larger and spacious check-in area in the airport. Medan is located close to the airport and serves as an entry point for North Sumatra. It is a great place for shopping as well as for business and entrepreneurs.
