Krov: An Exceptional German Vacation
Krov, Germany is a municipality in Rhineland-Palatinate with a significant winegrowing industry. It was first mentioned in the first century under the rule of King Lothair II. It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde of Traben-Trarbach.

The best time to visit Krov is during the months of May through September, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually April, May, and August. Tourists are least likely to visit in December. One of the most exciting events nearby is Staffelter Hof Festival in Staffelter Hof, which is held every May. It features bands, exhibits, food, and wine. Another event to look forward to in the area is Mosel Musikfestival, which is held every July to October throughout the state. In fact, it is the state’s oldest music festival. Founded by Hermann Lewen, it features a capella performances, bands, classical concerts, and jazz music.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the must-see attractions in the area is Eltz Castle, a medieval castle belonging to a community of joint heirs. The homes of the Rosendorf and Rubenach families are open to visitors. It houses gold, porcelain, and silver artifacts; and armory suits and weapons. The Kempenich family members use their share of the castle. Another interesting site to visit is Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. It was established by Prussia in the early 19th century.
