Lawrence Arts Center
The Lawrence Arts Center in Kansas is a facility used for performing arts, lectures, modern exhibitions, and visual presentations. Located in Lawrence, the center opened in 1974 and offers programs on theatre performance, ballet, visual arts, and contemporary dance which all abide by the National Core policies. The center with over 10,000 enrollees annually and 200,000 visitors each year has more than 120 artist-teachers. In 2002, a new addition to the Lawrence Arts Center was created, which totaled to 40,000 square feet composed of dance studios, theatres, visual arts rooms, and exhibition galleries.
