Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport with code LKO is located in Lucknow, India. It is in an international airport serving the town of Lucknow. It is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The airport is geographically in the Amausi area. Earlier, it was known as the Amausi Airport before it became the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport. The facility was named after Chaudhary Charan Singh who is the fifth Indian Prime Minister. In July 2013, the airport was awarded as the best airport. This is alongside the Jodhpur Airport. Although the airport is considered as a small airfield, it caters around 5-10 million passengers per year.
