Malelane: A Farming Community of Peace and History
Malelane, South Africa, which has now changed to Malalane, is one of the farming towns in the province of Mpumalanga. It lies along the N4 national highway and produces several staples in the country, such as subtropical fruits, sugarcane, and winter veggies. Since the establishment of the national road in the area, Malelane continuously developed until it already attracted hotels, inns, restaurants, and shops.
Best Time to Visit
The weather in Malelane is usually hot for half of the year and relatively nicer for the second half. While the town does not celebrate any huge festivities, you can quickly drive to the nearby city of Komatipoort during their Komatipoort Prawn Festival held every June. The fest does not only features a prawn-eating event at the bay but also features several music artists and a funfair, too. Tourists begin coming to the city in June, so expect crowded Malelane, South Africa hotels during this season.
