Mae Sot Airport – MAQ Mae Sot
Mae Sot Airport is the international airport in Mae Sot, Thailand in the town of Tak Province. Aside from Mae Sot, it also serves Myawaddy, Kayin, Maynmar. The Department of Airports manages the operations of the airport. Mae Sot is the gateway to Myanmar. It is where the bridge linking Myanmar to Thailand is. Its economy relies on its trade with Myanmar.

Mae Sot Airport has a single runway with asphalt pavements measuring 4,921 feet in length. Its runway is undergoing an expansion that will allow an Airbus A320 aircraft that will be completed in 2019. Based on 2018 statistics from the Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File, the airport handled 193,329 passengers. A new terminal was opened in the second quarter of 2019. It is designed to handle the capacity of 1.7 million passengers per year. The airport is served by Nok Air going to and from destinations in Bangkok – Don Mueang. The airport is surrounded by the cities of Mai Ngam, Nam Ruem, Pa Mamuang and Tak.
