Montbelliard: Nothing Like a French Town
Montbelliard, France is a town of Doubs Department in eastern France. This town is unique due to the German influence brought by the duchy of Wurttemberg until it was annexed to France in 1973. At present, its ancient history is now a good place to visit and learn about German and French culture. Most of its economic activities center on automobile and leather goods that is why it is known as the “industrial heart” of the Franche-Comte.
Best Time to Visit
While it is good to enjoy Montbelliard during its warm season from June to September, the best time to enjoy its sceneries with your family is on December as it is also labeled as the most wonderful place to visit in Franche-Comte during the yuletide season. You can get here via a 4-hour train ride from Paris although other travel alternatives are also available.
