RAFO Masirah – MSH Masirah
RAFO Masirah is a military airport in Masirah, Oman, which is the largest island in the country. The airbase is located 15 miles off the East coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea. In 1930, Masirah was first used as a British military base. Masirah is the home of the largest breeding ground for Loggerhead turtles and the rare breed of Olive Ridley turtles. The island is not frequently visited by tourists abroad.

RAFO Masirah is 40 miles long by 10 miles wide at its widest point and 4 miles in the narrowest. It is the home of the Sultan Qaboos Flying Academy. It is the training school of pilots and instructors for the Royal Air Force of Oman. RAFO Masirah has flights daily from Seeb to the air force base. It handles Skyvan, Hercules aircraft and BAC 1-11 which transports tourists and locals to and from the island. Aside from being a defensive airbase, the airport serves the communities in the remote areas by delivering food and supplies, along with a flying doctor services. It has two squadrons with fixed-winged aircraft and one squadron with helicopters.
