Marsa Matruh International Airport – MUH Mersa Matruh
Marsa Matruh International Airport is an international airport previously called Marsa Matruh Airport in a city of Mersa Matruh in Egypt. It is situated five kilometers away from the city center. It is a public airport operated by the Government of Mersa Matruh. The Mersa Matruh Air Base is home to the 102nd Tactical Fighter Brigade with an 82 Squadron detachment flying the Mirage 2000BM and 2000EM and 26 Squadron flying the F-7 and FT-7. It is probably in conjunction with the civilian field.

Marsa Matruh International Airport started during the British occupation period until it was handed over to the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority in 1945. It has two asphalt runways both measuring 3,000 meters in length. It serves destinations in Bergamo, Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fuimicino and Verona serviced by Blue Panorama Airlines and Neos. All in all, it serves 10 flights to 4 different routes to one country. Based on 2011 records, the airport handled 99,515 passengers, a 13.7% decrease to 2010 traffic. The airport features a small terminal with a capacity of 300 passengers per hour. Tourists visit the place known as Caribbean Egypt to experience the white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.
