Mundra: Salt and Spice Trading Town
Mundra, India is a port town in the Southern coastal area of Kutch. Throughout its history, the town is known to produce salt and spice. Today it is also known for producing tie-dye and block print clothing. Unfortunately, the harbor is unusable because it was not maintained by the government however only small fishing crafts can navigate the waterways of the said river. All over the town, there are several memorials in remembrance of sailors that sailed from the port. There is also the big shrine of Darya Pir who still attracts tourists who wish to receive blessings. There is also the Mughal Gate that was also built for his honor.

The majority of the festivals in Mundra are Hindu and Muslim related. Diwali, Holi, Uttarayan, Muharram, and Eids are some of the events happening in town.
