The weather is pleasant come July and August, but it's by far the highest recorded crowd in the city. Northeast Harbor doesn't receive many visitors in winter, but it's the perfect time to visit for the adventure traveller ready for the freezing temperatures.

A great start of the village exploration is a visit to Somes Sound by a kayak or boat to see North America’s only Fjord.
