Located 3 miles north of the city center of Nuremberg, Germany, which it serves, this international airport offers flights to other parts of Germany, as well as to top European leisure destinations. Best Time to Visit
The inauguration for Nuremberg Airport took place on April 6, 1955. It was the country’s first airport built after World War II. Its original runway was initially extended in 1961, and then again in 1968 to its current length of 2,700 meters. The passenger terminal features 3 halls: two for departures, and one for arrivals. Forty desks cater to check-in procedures, and the airport’s apron allows parking space for up to 37 planes. This airport is the main entryway for travelers looking to explore Nuremberg and other nearby German towns such as Fischbach and Oststadt.
