Playa Grande: Home to Leatherback Turtles
Playa Grande, Costa Rica is situated in the north pacific coastal area. It is located in Guanacaste Province. This small area is part of the famous Marino Las Baulas National Park. The beach was open to the public in the 1990s when the park was incorporated. It has remained protected because it is the home of the leatherback turtles. Because of its shoreline and blue waters, it is considered the most beautiful beach in the region. Surfers love the beach because of its surfing conditions.
