Poznan – Lawica Airport is situated 3.1 miles west of the city center of Poznan, Poland. The airport was built in 1913 and is considered one of the oldest airports in Poland. The neighboring town, Lawica, which is part of the Grunwald district of the city, shares its name. The airport’s location, however, is in Jezyce district. It is run by Poznan Lawica Airport Ltd. Often, the airport is confused with Poznan-Krzesiny Airbase.

The airport has a single asphalt runway measuring 8,215 feet in length. Based on 2018 statistics, the airport attended to 2,476,304 passengers and 24,391 aircraft movements. As a commercial airport, it handles both domestic and international flights including cargo and general aviation. The terminal has the capacity of 3.5 million passengers every year. The airport serves a number of airlines with Enter Air, Ryanair, Ryanair Sun, Smartwings Poland and Wizz Air having most number of flights and destinations. Some destinations include Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Tenerife-South, Frankfurt, Munich, Bristol, Budapest, Copenhagen and many others. The airport serves as one stop for Poznan transit and also has bus stops. Some of the neighboring cities are Plewiska and Skórzewo.
