Puerto Princesa International Airport – PPS Puerto Princesa
Serving as a gateway to UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Princesa Underground River, Puerto Princesa International Airport is strategically located within the city of Puerto Princesa. The airport has high passenger traffic as it caters to both domestic and international tourists. The rise of the tourism industry in Puerto Princesa has led to significant economic growth in the province of Palawan. In fact, in 2017 the airport has a record of 2 million passengers traveling to and from Puerto Princesa, Palawan and is still expected to increase the next few years.
Best Time to Visit
The Americans established Puerto Princesa International Airport in 1942 during World War II. After the war, the airport was opened for commercial use by 1950. With the growing demands to improve and upgrade the airport's facilities and services, the government through the Department of Transportation awarded P89 million to do the necessary renovations. By 2017, the new terminal was inaugurated and is now being used to accommodate passengers traveling to and from Puerto Princesa, Honda Bay, or Tanabag.

Best Western Plus offers a modern setting that is around 3-minutes away from the airport, while Hibiscus Garden Inn has a native setting that is a 10-minute drive from the airport.
