Two miles west of downtown Portland, the public airport Portland International Jetport is located. PWM Portland covers 293 hectares of land, which the Jetport’s main runway is in the neighboring city of South Portland. Being the busiest airport in its state, Portland International Jetport served more than 2 million passengers in 2018, breaking its 1.86 million record in 2017.
