Bornholm Airport, or also known as RNN Airport, first started when the municipality of Ronne and DDL agreed to have air connection between Copenhagen and the municipality. The construction of the airport later on began in 1937 and was officially opened on November 1940. Airlines that serve the airport include Danish Air Transport and Alsie Express with routes to Copenhagen and seasonal flights to select destinations. Neighboring areas like Borrby, Karlaby, and Tommarp use the flight services offered by RNN as well.
