Rosh Pina Airport – RPN Rosh Pinna
Situated in Rosh Pinna, Rosh Pina Airport is an Israeli airport that serves the town of Rosh Pinna and other neighboring towns in Mahanayim. It is also called Mahanayim Airport because of its closeness to the place of Mahanayim. The airport was constructed during the British Mandate for Palestine in 1943. It was then taken over by the Israel Air Force in 1948. An airline called Arkia Israel Airlines began operating in the airport in the 1950s with only a hut as a passenger terminal and a control tower. During the following years, a new terminal building, fire station and control tower had been built. In 2004, the passenger terminal has been expanded due to increased activity in the airport.
