Salento: Coffee Center of Colombia
Salento is a town located in Quindío, Colombia. The town is well known amongst tourists and visitors, having a historical background and deeply enriched ancient roots. There are still traces of ancient settlements that linger and are preserved in the area. Beyond the urban sector of the town, there are also agricultural farmlands. It mainly consists of coffee, to which they are famously known for, flowers, and dairy produce. Matecaña International Airport (PEI) is the nearest major airport from Salento with a distance of 16.8 miles.
