Serving the city of Sibiu, Romania is an airport named after the city itself: Sibiu International Airport. Back in 1943, the first flight took off at what was then only a grass field. It was handled by Romania’s first operational airline – LARES. With the code SBZ, the Sibiu International Airport is the country’s seventh largest international gateway.
