Scansano: Italian Town with A Medieval Soul
A town from the Medieval times that is as vibrant today as it was in the yesteryears is Scansano Italy, in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany. It is also home to Morellino di Scansano, a type of fine red wine. Summers in Scansano bring in high temperatures and big crowds. A visit to the area between June and August mean paying more for accommodations though. On the last weekend of September, the Scansano Wine Festival takes place where people of all ages celebrate the town’s main product.
