Scarness: A Sleepy Suburb along the Coast of East Australia
Scarness, Australia is a suburb of the city of Hervey Bay, in the region of Fraser Coast. The town lies close to the Big Woody Island and Fraser Island. Since it sits along the coast of the Coral Sea, it has become a favorite summer destination in the area.
Best Time to Visit
Scarness and Queensland, in general, experience enjoyable weather throughout the year, with dates between early July and early November as the best time to visit. During these months, there are only at most four days per month of rain, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities. However, most of the Scarness, Australia hotels are still expensive between July and August when the tourist population is at its highest. This only decreases in September when the spring season starts kicking in.
What to Do & Area Attractions
The good thing about Scarness is that some of the famous tourist attractions are within walking distance from each other. If you’re staying at either Coconut Palms On The Bay or Eden By The Bay, you would be within a six-minute walk from Hervey Bay Historical Village Museum and roughly a 15-minute walk from WetSide Water Education Park. Both accommodations are also close to the beach, so feel free to catch some sun. The 4.5-star Discovery Parks Boat Harbour Drive is also close to the attractions and the shore. There is an outdoor pool in the property, along with a picnic area and a garden. All three of these hotels are roughly 0.3 miles away from the city center of Scarness, as well.
