Sheridan, Arkansas is a US city named after a commanding general for the US Army, Lt. General Philip Sheridan. The city sits in what was once a land of the Native American tribes and is a part of the Little Rock – North Little Rock – Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. Sheridan is surrounded by green and dense forests and is very well-known for timber production. It also has less than 5,000 occupants.

The weather in Sheridan, AR vary greatly throughout the year. Summers are generally extremely hot while winters are often too cold. Rain is also expected to fall during some months. It is between the months of March and May that it is recommended to visit the city. As during these months, the weather is warm and pleasant. However, if you want to witness the annual famous Timberfest, it is held every October and the city may have more tourist influx.

As timber is what Sheridan is famous for, the Southland Village is located in the middle of a recreational forest and is a well-known camping ground. The Grant County Museum and the B-17 Memorial Park will take you to the past as you learn about the city’s golden history.
