Skala: Garden of Europe
Skala is a town located in Laconia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since 2011 it became part of the municipality Evrotas and the municipal unit’s seat. The town is known for its oranges and garden produce that it is named Garden of Europe. Skala, Evrotas, Greece has old churches and historical remains that attract tourists around the world.

Tourists may have varied ideas when to hit the town for a visit. But the peak season of tourism starts from months of June followed by February and July. If tourists’ visit will coincide with the peak seasons, it must be expected that the Skala hotel rates are more expensive than the rest of the months. However, visitors who want to take part in Carnival in Skala, which usually takes place in March, should book their flights and accommodations in advance.

Skala, GR is a popular destination for its historical remains. One of the most visited attractions in town is the Catacombs of Saint Onoufrios which is carved into the rocks to form the cemetery. Located in the outskirts of Skala is Tzannetakis Tower. This tower has the History and Ethnology Museum of Mani. There are plenty of choices when it comes to booking Skala, GR hotels in town.
