The most interesting one in town perhaps is the Brown’s Oakridge Zoo where you can check wild, captive animals and there are a few kid-friendly events taking place too. The Dickson Mounds State Museum is just a mere 25-minute drive. It is where you can check out many preserved artifacts. Another museum worthy of a visit, but much farther – about an hour drive, is the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
