Domine Eduard Osok Airport – SOQ Sorong
Domine Eduard Osok Airport is located at Sorong, Indonesia. It is considered one of the largest airports in the Peninsula. The airport has replaced Jefman Airport after it was ruined during World War II. The airport with code SOQ is named after a pastor, Domine Eduard Osok. He was a local of Sorong and known to do missionary work in the island and its surrounding areas. The airport is considered as the major entry point to Raja Ampat Island for years. However, Marinda Airport was built and it has become the entry point.

In terms of aircraft movement, the airport has seen over 9000 aircraft annually and it is steadily increasing. The average passengers yearly are close to half a million. Major airline carriers like Xpress Air and Sriwijaya Air are serving the domestic flights. The airport can able to accommodate large aircraft like Boeing 737. On the exterior, the terminal is architecturally designed to reflect the local culture. Recently the airport and its facilities have undergone renovations to serve more passengers.
