Satu Mare international Airport is a public international airport that serves the Satu Mare County in north west Romania. It is located 8.7 miles south of the city of Satu Mare, Romania. A few airlines fly in and out of Satu Mare Airport, including TAROM and Wizz Air with destinations to Bucharest, Romania and Bedfordshire, England. There are also seasonal flights to the Mihail Kogălniceanu commune near the historic city of Constanta, Romania. The airport is operated by Consiliul Judeţean Satu Mare.

Established in 1936, Satu Mare International Airport (SUJ) is one of the first airports in Romania. Found at an elevation of 414 feet above mean sea level, it is equipped with a concrete runway that measures at 8,202 feet in length. In 2018, the airport handled a total of 75,692 passengers, a 24.5% increase from the previous year. So far, 2019 is on a similar trajectory with an 24.27% increase in passenger traffic in the first eight months of the year compared to 2018. The Satu Mare international Airport was the 11th busiest airport in Romania in 2018. Nearby cities include Recea and Baia Mare, among many others.
