Summersville, Missouri is a small town and located in the Southeast part of Texas County, between Houston and Eminence. There is a post office in the center of the town that has been in operation since 1871. The town was named after Jesse and Thomas Summer. They are considered pioneer citizens in town. Another famous sport in town is Summersville Mill. It is dating back in 1886. A man name Jim McCaskill purchased the land and installed a machine for the mill that produces wheat flour. This is considered a community that placed the town in the map.
