Tha-Bo-Thailand: A District Offering a Relaxed Vibe
Tha Bo, Thailand is a district that is divided into ten sub-districts, which are then divided up into 98 villages. The settlement dates back to 1897 when the Mueang Tha Bo was created. With a population of less than 80,000, it lies in the northeastern part of the country, on the west side of Nong Khai Province.
Best Time to Visit
In Tha Bo, the temperatures are high throughout the year, making the place feel hot, and rain usually falls for most of the year. To avoid the blazing heat of the sun and the most rain, consider visiting from late November to mid-February when the rainy season is about to end and the temperature is enjoyable. Another best thing about November is that Tha Bo hotels may offer accommodations that are reasonably priced. In the following months, expect high room rates.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Since Tha Bo is near Laos, grab the chance to explore that nearby country, starting from Haw Phra Kaew and Lao National Museum. Another worth-visiting site is the Sadet Market, where you can purchase local products. Around these attractions are plenty of hotel options, where you can stay before or after visiting them. Phonethip Plaza Hotel features an entertainment area and a coffee shop and offers comfortable rooms with air-conditioning and other amenities. The other fine hotels are Rashmi's The Plaza Vientiane and Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel, which are just a short drive from the city center, and has an array of accommodation, fitness center, restaurant, bar, and meeting facilities.
