Ula:Step into a Historical Town in Turkey
The district and town of Ula may now be a small and unassuming place but it is steeped in history. While there is no precise documentation, it is said that Ula, Turkey was founded during the 6th century. Historically, it was also recorded that Ula was surrounded by vineyards and orchards and the grapes that came from these were sent to Egypt. In 1954, Ula became a district. Today, Ula is known for its old houses that are still in the Turkish style. It is still also known, as it was back then, for the vast forest that extends south from the city. Dalaman International Airport (DLM) is the nearest commercial airport from Ula. From the airport, it will take another 1 hour and 7 minutes to drive to the town.

To get the most out of Ula, it is best to visit between the months of April to June. During this time, the weather is perfect for outdoor activities or sightseeing.
