Union, Maine: A Cozy Sleepy Town of Peace and Harmony
Covering a total land area of 34.49 square miles, Union, Maine is a quiet town located in Knox County. It has only a little over 2,000 residents and is subdivided into four villages namely Union, East Union, North Union, and South Union. The town was originally settled in the late 1700s and was previously called Taylor Town in honor of Dr. John Taylor, who purchased and first lived in the area. Today, Union is home to several small inns and lodging businesses.

Union, Maine turns into a busy destination in the summer, especially in August, when the Union Fair & State of Maine Wild Blueberry Festival is hosted in the town. This classic celebration is a toast to the thriving agriculture of the area. Most of the Union, ME hotels are packed for the whole of summer, so it is best to reserve your suites early. The tourist population typically declines in September until November before rising again in December.
