Standing by the motto, “We can't have Union without U and I,” Union, Missouri is a city in Franklin County with just over 10,200 occupants. It is also the county seat and the town with the highest growth rate in the area. The city was established in 1826 and became a county seat a year after.

June is among the best months to be in Union, Missouri, mainly because of the Annual Founder's Day Festival held in the first week. There are numerous community activities held during the celebration that the whole family will enjoy. However, you might need to blend in with the crowd during this season as the summer is typically packed with tourists. Most of Union, MO hotels are understandably full, as well.

Thanks to the town’s proximity to I-44, Union has become a perfect home base when visiting the popular tourist and recreational sites in the area. Some of these sites within a short drive away from the town are the Meramec State Park, Riverside Wildlife Center, and the Roebller Vineyard Winery.
