Wanning: A Class of Its Own
Wanning, China is both a county seat and city at the same time. It is located in the southeast portion of the Province of Hainan. Wanning got its name in Southern Song Dynasty. It was formerly called Wan’an. It was also called Wanzhou but revert back to the original name when the communist took over in 1950. The town is thriving in terms of tourism. The town has lush scenery which is considered as an ideal tourist destination. The town proper of Wanning is about 30 minutes away from the beach. The city is also the main producer of agricultural products.
Best Time to Visit
It is best to avoid the months of June to October because of the rainy season. There are only a few tourists during these months so the Wanning, China hotels have the lowest rate. The peak season is from January to March. There are a lot of tourists who are flocking the area because of its weather.

The town is a flourishing city. There are a lot of attractions in the area. One can watch the sunrise at the Riyue Bay. The Shimei Bay is also another place to watch the sunset. The Peoples Park is a family attraction for those who love outdoor activities. There are a lot of accommodations in the town. The majority of them are 5-star. The most notable ones are 5-star hotels, such as the Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula, Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula Resort and Le Meridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa.
