Winnemucca, Nevada is the seat of Humboldt County. Named after Chief Winnemucca who resided in the area during the 19th century, the city is rife with Native American history and culture. While Winnemucca Municipal Airport is just a short drive from the downtown area, it does not provide scheduled passenger services.
