The World Center for Birds of Prey is located in Boise, Idaho. The Peregrine Fund calls the center their headquarters. They are an international organization that aims to conserve endangered raptors from around the world. The center was built in 1984 and it covers 580 acres of land, on a hilltop that overlooks the city. The organization takes its name from the first breed of falcon that they helped conserve, the Peregrine Falcon. The World Center for Birds of Prey sees roughly 50,000 visitors a year.
