Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is a public airport operated by Xiamen International Airport Group Co., Ltd.. The airport serves the city of Xiamen, China and is currently the main hub of one of the aircraft maintenance providers in China, TAECO and XiamenAir Airlines. It is situated in the northern region of the Xiamen Island. Back in 2012, the XMN Airport became the 8th busiest airport in China for cargo traffic and 11th for passengers served during that year. The airport served a total of 17.3 million passengers on that same year.

Sitting 18 meters above sea level, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport had a new terminal constructed in 2011, which was completed in 2014. Shandong Airlines is also currently using the airport as its main hub in China. Its first international flight out of Xiamen was recorded back in march 2011 to Amsterdam. Since its expansion, it has been serving flights to Vancouver, Sydney, and Los Angeles and is now capable of accommodating Boeing 787s. For recreational activities in the region, Xiamen is a nearby city where you can enjoy beaches and its stunning colonial villas or visit other nearby towns and cities such as the Dongfu and Qiancun.
