Yamaguchi: A Tranquil Escape Within a City
On the southwest side of Honshu Island in the Chugoku region lies Yamaguchi, Japan, a prefecture that is characterized by several natural parks. It is most accessible via Yamaguchi Ube Airport (UBJ) some 21 miles away and Iwami Airport (IWJ) 53 miles away.

Yamaguchi, Japan offers great weather for travel between mid months of April to late June. The prefecture is teeming with tourists the most in February, March, and July, while the lean season is in October. Tourists are encouraged to visit in August, when the Nishiki River Water Festival, Iwakuni Festival, Yanai Goldfish Lantern Festival, and Shimonoseki Firework Festival all occur.
