Fort Resolution Airport (YFR) is a public airport operated by the government of the Northwest Territories. YFR is located next to Fort Resolution, Northwest Territories in Canada. The name Fort Resolution is translated to “Moose Island.”
This hamlet is nestled in the South Slave Region close to the Slave River along the Great Slave Lake, which also happens to be the main base of the Deninu Kųę́ First Nation. This community represents the town of Fort Resolution.
