Yantai Laishan Airport – YNT Laishan
Previously serving civil service in the city of Yantai in China, Yantai Laishan Airportis a former public airport that is turned into a military one. It is 9.3 miles away from the center of the city. Originally, the airport was a military airport and was agreed to open up to civil flights by the Chinese Government and Central Military Commission in October 1984. Flights to seventy cities and international destinations were served by the airport during its operation. Unfortunately, the airport’s facilities couldn’t meet the growing demands, thus, another airport was built in Yantai during September 2011 called the Penglai International Airport.
