Young: The Best Cherries in New South Wales
Young is a town located in the South West Slopes of New South Wales in Australia. It was originally inhabited by the Burrowmunditory Tribe before being settled by Europeans in 1826. The town was named after John Young who served at the time as governor of New South Wales for six years. Young is serviced by Young Airport, situated a few miles away from the town.

The best time to visit Young, Australia is when the weather is warm and pleasant. These periods fall from February to June or from September to November. These months experience the most ideal temperatures for engaging in the different activities and seeing the sights Young has to offer. While tourist flow remains relatively consistent throughout the year, July is the best month to visit for a crowd-free trip. December is a good time to visit Young for the annual National Cherry Festival, as the town is known for producing the best cherries.

The Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Gardens appear almost like a portal to China within the town. It features traditional China sculptures and architecture and is a great place for photo taking. The Lindsays Woodonga Hill Winery offers some of the best wines in the Hilltops Region, including some of Young’s famous cherry wines. Some of the Young accommodations include the Young Federation Motor Inn, with casual rooms, located right off the highway. The Hilltops Retreat Motor Inn offers an outdoor pool, an on-site restaurant, and larger rooms good for traveling groups.
