Yuma: A Place Packed with Southern Vibe
In the landlocked southern state of Tennessee is Yuma, which is an unincorporated community in Carroll County. Located along Tennessee State Route 424, it is about 3.5 miles southeast of its nearest neighbor, Clarksburg. Yuma is a small community with a population of only a little over 800. Its numerous vast ranches, RV parks and campgrounds are scattered all across town.
Best Time to Visit
Months of May, September and October are the perfect months to visit Yuma for its fine weather. Months of December and January are the least comfortable months since these are in the dead of winter. Booking your accommodation will never be a problem since there are no peak seasons in the area as lodgings and other places of interest never really get too crammed.

Although there aren’t many hotels in the community, those visiting can opt to stay at Wildersville, which is only 13 minutes away. Pin Oak Lodge is a park-based lodging with rooms facing a lake. Knights Inn Wildersville has an easy access to the interstate while Americas Best Value Inn Wildersville is a casual roadside hotel that is only a few minutes drive from the Natchez Trace State Park, a 48,000-plus acre area that features several wilderness trails, camping, sporting, horse-back riding, and water front activities. A stop at Simmons Farm, which is a great family getaway with 4 fishing ponds and 3 old stall milk barns converted to bunkhouses. Children will love interacting with farm animals like turkey and deer.
