Mzuzu Airport – ZZU Mzuzu
Mzuzu Airport is a public-use airport in Mzuzu, Malawi and is operated by its government. It is serving the capital city of the Northern region of the Republic of Malawi, Mzuzu. Two airlines, the Ulendo Airlink and LC Peru, are operating in the airport and serves regular scheduled flights to some domestic destinations such as the Likoma Island and Lilongwe.

Mzuzu Airport stands at an elevation of 4,115 feet above mean sea level. It has a single runway designated 17/35. The runway has a bitumen surface and measures 4,291 feet in length. Mzuzu is the only city that surrounds ZZU Mzuzu and is known to be the gateway to Lake Malawi and Nkhata Bay’s fishing village. The city is also home to the Nyika National Park that has lions, leopards, and elephants.

There are not many hotels and accommodation can be found near Mzuzu Airport but there two of them that are mostly booked by tourists that visit the city.
