Alamogordo White Sands Airport is a city-owned facility found in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The airport with code ALM is formerly known as Alamogordo Municipal Airport. The city is found in Otero County. Currently, the airport doesn’t have commercial flights. New Mexico Airlines discontinued its services in 2012. The airport also lost its eligibility to provide subsidies to passengers via Essential Air Service. The airport is categorized as a general aviation airport because it only has less than 500 passenger boarding yearly.

This facility has helped saved the airport electricity around a couple of hundred dollars a month. Cities that surround the airport include White Oaks and San Patricio.
