Boise Airport (BOI) is a joint civil-military airport located in Boise, Idaho and is Idaho’s busiest airport. BOI has served more than 3.8 million passengers and is ten times more than Idaho Falls Airport, the second busiest airport in Idaho. The State of Idaho may have several main airports. However, Boise Airport is the largest and is an international airport as well.

BOI is recognized as a general and commercial aviation airport and also functions as a USAF military facility. A portion of the airport is utilized by the Idaho Air National Guard. At the same time, international flights need to get permission from the Customs and Border Protection before landing.
The top three domestic routes from BOI include Seattle/Tacoma, Denver, and Salt Lake City. Boise Airport serves various cities including the neighborhoods of Garden City, Hyde Park, Middleton, and Nampa among many others. BOI started in 1936 and two years later successfully built the longest runway in the U.S. at that time with a length of 8,800 feet.
