Inca Manco Cápac International Airport – JUL Juliaca
An exceedingly high-rise airport in the west of Titicaca Lake is the Inca Manco Cápac International Airport. Serving the city of Juliaca, in the Puno Region of Peru, it is third in ranking as the world’s highest air facility. Although JUL Juliaca is classified as an international airport, it doesn't feature any scheduled international flights. LATAM Peru is the only airline serving the airport, handling flights to Peru and Lima. The airport is named after the founder of Inca culture in Peru, Inca Manco Cápac.
Best Time to Visit
Inca Manco Cápac International Airport has a single 13,780 feet runway, the longest runway in Latin America. A single-terminal facility houses the departures and arrivals and other airport amenities. A snack bar and a restaurant can be seen in the terminal. There are also souvenir shops and a convenience store that sells souvenir items and travel essentials. JUL Juliaca is the airport of choice for passengers going in and out of Manazo and Capachica.
