Manchester Conference Centre, Manchester, England, United Kingdom
The Manchester Conference Centre is owned by the Opal Property in Manchester to use the center as a conference room for business meetings and events. In 1991, The Sackville Complex was built and features not only the latest technology at that time, but also the Foucault's pendulums, or the demonstration of the earth's rotation. In 1992, universities around the United Kingdom would bring in cash to help the funding for the conference center, to give a large-scale facility for conferences. Manchester Conference Centre consists of two venues known as the Manchester International Conference Centre (MICC) and the GMEX Centre. Today, the conference was converted into a hotel with 117 bedrooms and it was rebranded into The Pendulum Hotel.
Just a few minutes away from Manchester in the district of Trafford, where the gorgeous Dunham Massey Hall and Gardens are found. This place is usually known as the Dunham Massey Hall and Gardens, with a formal English-styled garden and a deer park. It also contains the Stamford Military Hospital where war veterans were taken during World War I. Another tourist attraction with historical significance is the Castlefield Roman Fort or commonly called Mamucium. The ruins were once used as a settlement of civilians and soldier's families during the war until in the 18th century expansion and development were made. For hotel reservations that are nearer to these tourist spots, Hotel Indigo, located right next to Victoria Station, seemed to be a good place to go. This hotel has about 187 stylish rooms and a new on-site restaurant Mamucium. For hotels close to the center, check in to ibis Manchester Centre Princess Street or at Pendulum Hotel.
