Coles County Memorial Airport – MTO Mattoon
Established in 1953, Coles County Memorial Airport is a general aviation facility found five miles east of Mattoon, IL and six miles west of Charleston, IL. It is owned by Coles County Airport Authority. The MTO Mattoon airport does not offer commercial service on its grounds, but chartered flights are available through Midwest Jet Charter and Coles County Aviation.

Occupying 1,225 acres of land, Coles County Memorial Airport features three runways: a concrete runway measuring 6,501 by 150 feet, an asphalt runway measuring 5,799 by 100 feet, and a turf runway measuring 1,080 by 250 feet. The airport is well-equipped with a full-service FBO via Coles County Aviation. It even has a well-known on-site restaurant called the Airport Steakhouse. The airport also serves Arthur and Farmer City.

Travelers coming from out of the country will have to fly in via the Indianapolis International Airport in Indianapolis, IN or Chicago Midway International Airport in Chicago, IL.
